Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks

Former Chief Rabbi of United Hebrew Congregations of the Commonwealth

Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks served as the Chief Rabbi of the Hebrew Congregations of the Commonwealth from 1991 to 2013.  Since stepping down as Chief Rabbi, in addition to his international travelling and speaking engagements and prolific writing, Rabbi Lord Sacks has served as Professor of Judaic Thought at New York University and the Professor of Jewish Thought at Yeshiva University. He has also been appointed as Professor of Law, Ethics and the Bible at King’s College London.

Rabbi Dr. Akiva Tatz

Rabbi Dr. Akiva Tatz was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. After practising as a doctor in South Africa, the U.S. and Israel, he engaged in Talmudic study and became a lecturer and teacher in Jewish thought and medical ethics in Jerusalem. He is the Founder and Director of the Jerusalem Medical Ethics Forum and has written several books on Jewish Thought and Philosophy, which were later translated into Spanish, Portuguese and French.

Rabbi Yisrael Meir Lau

and former Chief Rabbi of Israel.

Rabbi Yisrael Meir Lau is a survivor of the Buchenwald concentration camp. He was the Chief Rabbi of Natanya, Chief Rabbi of Tel Aviv and he is the former Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi of Israel. He wrote several books about his experience in a concentration camp.

Rabbi Lau currently serves as chairman of the Yad Vashem Council.
